About Josh


Joshua grew up in the city in south Florida and spent his weekends in the south Florida swamps, so whether the job is in a busy metropolis or full of foliage he is unfazed and able to smoothly complete any job. Josh is very active. He loves spending his weekends outdoors doing various activities from hiking to auto sports.


Josh Ruiz has experience and knowledge in the execution of construction, boundary, and topographic surveying. He is skilled in the methods, procedures, and processes of all types of land and construction surveying. Mr. Ruiz has performed for over 6 years as a surveyor and has experience with EFB, GPS/RTK, Carlson, TDS, level loops, robotic and conventional total stations, reading plats, grading, alignments, bench runs, boundary surveys, cross sections, block breakdowns, lidar, tree locations, topographic surveys, ALTA surveys, FEMA elevation certificates, and construction staking


Notable Project Experience



Renton Downtown Utility Improvement Project: City of Renton; SCI Infrastructure, LLC

Mr. Ruiz was the primary project surveyor on site and performed all survey activities associated with the contract scope. Project consisted of installation of approximately 6,300 linear feet of storm drainpipe, 116 catch basins, and one box culvert, installation of approximately 6,800 linear feet of sewer main, 800 feet of side sewer, 37 manholes, and 2,000 feet of CIPP, installation of approximately 3,500 linear feet of water main, 33 valves, 11 fire hydrants, and 17 water service connections.



JBLM - North Access Improvements - Phase 1: City of Lakewood; R.L. Alia Company

Mr. Ruiz was the primary project surveyor on site and performed all survey activities associated with the contract scope. Project consisted of installing approximately 8,640 linear feet of water main, 14 fire hydrants, valves, appurtenances, replacement, and connection of 89 water services, as well as installing and placing restorative items including gravel and crushed rock, asphalt, thrust blocking and landscaping.



Washington State Convention Center Addition: Steel Structure Survey and Verification Survey, City of Seattle; American Bridge Company & KWH Constructors

Mr. Ruiz was the primary project surveyor on site and performed all survey activities associated with the contract scope. Worked directly with the client and engineers to determine the design location of all steel structure components of the work. Created intelligent integrated data reports to support the client obligations to the owner and engineers. Prepare Steel Structure Survey Procedures Manual in compliance with the project specifications and requirements and provide to client to be used for performance and execution of the work.



West Cashmere Bridge Replacement: WSDOT Scarsella Bros, Inc.

Mr. Ruiz was the primary project surveyor on site and performed all survey activities associated with the contract scope. This project consists of a 3-span full width bridge construction over BNSF ROW and waterways, and full section roadway construction.



DSW3 - Burlington: Amazon; Perlo Construction, LLC

Mr. Ruiz was the primary project surveyor on site and performed all survey activities associated with the contract scope. The project included settlement monitoring, construction staking, boundary and ROW verification, construction as-build survey, and FEMA surveys. This project consists of standup concrete building structure, civil site development, ROW improvements, and infrastructure improvements.



Covington Connector - 204th Ave SE & SR 516: City of Covington; Scarsella Bros, Inc.

Mr. Ruiz was the primary project surveyor on site and performed all survey activities associated with the contract scope. This project consists of approximately 1.5 miles of complete ROW & roadway construction to include all civil roadway infrastructure and development.



35th Ave SE - 180th St SE - 152nd St SE (Seattle Hill Road): Snohomish County; Marshbank Construction, Inc.

Mr. Ruiz was the primary project surveyor on site and performed all survey activities associated with the contract scope. This project consists of approximately 2.5 miles of ROW & roadway construction to include all civil roadway infrastructure and development.
